Kids in early elementary will start to age out of some exhibits, but there is still plenty to do at the Chicago Children's Museum. Most oriented towards this age are the Tinkering Lab, letting kids build using real tools, and Skyline which gives engineering challenges. The Climbing Schooner is also a big hit for this age. Some of the other exhibits are great for dramatic play and still fun for this age, particularly Water Ways (bring extra clothes!), Play It Safe (the fire truck), and Treehouse Trails. Don't forget to check out the rotating temporary exhibits, which are usually outstanding.
