Public Transit - Chicago Children's Museum (and Navy Pier)

Several CTA busses run to Navy Pier: 2 (Hyde Park Express), 29 (State Street), 65 (Grand Avenue), 66 (Chicago Avenue), and 124 (Navy Pier, from Union and Ogilvie train stations). The bus station is just to the North of the Navy Pier’s main entrance. Go in that entrance, and the Children’s Museum will be just ahead and on your right. See www.transitchicago.com for more information on those routes.

The Red Line ‘L’ is about a 1 mile walk from Navy Pier. Take the Red Line to the Grand stop (at State and Grand), then walk East on Grand (Wabash will be the first cross street). Grand will take you directly to the front of Navy Pier. Although there are lights and pedestrian crossings for Lake Shore Drive, you will still need to cross the lower level of LSD; to avoid that, you can take Ohio instead, which is one block North of Grand and has a pedestrian walkway which goes under Lake Shore Drive.
