The African Journey and adjacent African Savanna feature giraffes, zebras, rhinos, and other African animals. The interior of the building is okay, with giraffes as the highlight, either indoors if the weather is bad, or with a "treetop overlook" where food often entices giraffes to hang out just outside the windows. The rest of the building is well done, but the animals aren't that exciting: birds, dwarf crocodiles, fish, meerkats, and aardvarks, among others.
The best animals are outside, especially in the African Savanna to the right of the entrance, where giraffes and zebras are often relatively close to the guests. In the exterior spaces on the west of the building are rhinos.
