Toddlers - Lincoln Park Zoo

Toddlers are a little bit of a tricky age, since I love empty spaces where they can roam freely, and the Lincoln Park Zoo gets busy. The Macaque Forest is a popular place for little kids, who can watch the monkeys and have some space to move around. For toddlers who are still unsteady on their feet, the Bird House is about as empty a space as you'll find, with the path around Camel & Zebra next.

Many toddlers will enjoy the Farm-in-the-Zoo, especially events like seeing cows getting milked, petting the goats, or the music. See the farm's page for information and times for those events. The Children's Zoo, on the other hand, is geared more towards bigger kids—though there are still some fun animals to see, especially inside the building.
