Membership has three typical levels: individual ($95 for 1 member and a guest), dual ($145 for 2 members and a guest) and family ($195 for 2 members and a guest, plus all kids under 18 in the household).
All three membership levels include free general admission, coat check, and stroller service, as well as some number of free passes for the Giant Dome Theater and discounted passes for special exhibits. Members also receive 10% off museum stores and restaurants.
Family membership includes free parking for every visit. It also includes free admission to any ASTC member museums more than 90 miles away, and offers half-off admission at four other museums within that distance (including the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum in Chicago). For a family of 4, basic admission for 2 adults and 2 kids plus parking will cost $103.80, so family membership may pay for itself in 2 visits (or 3 visits if you are Chicago residents and would have gotten discounted admission).
